We have adopted a vision to grow as only God can grow us: 30 new families following Christ with us and 45 new believers baptized by March 31, 2015.
But the vision is not about numbers. It is a vision about people. Each number represents an individual or family in Elk Grove Village and surrounding communities whose lives will be transformed by God because we have introduced them to Jesus Christ. It is a vision that flows out of our mission of developing a family of Christ-followers. God is beginning to enlarge our church family. We are seeing new families making EGBC their church home.
Along with this vision, after much prayer and discussion, “SHARE THE VISION” has been introduced.
SHARE THE VISION is a campaign to be implemented over the next two years (December 2012-November 2014). It will help us address important improvements and complete them debt-free! Without debt, each year all of our giving will support our work of building Christ-followers locally and — through our missionaries — around the world!
Our sanctuary, gym and classrooms are more than adequate to serve the needs of a growing family. However, we have a parking lot that is old and in need of continual, costly repair. We have some building upgrades we’d like to make inside, but have put them off because we are still paying on our mortgage and refuse to add new debt.
We invite you to join us in “SHARE THE VISION” by actively participating and through prayer. The accompanying links give further details about the specific monetary goals and some suggestions on how to be able to give generously.
