for all ages

The atmosphere at EGBC is like that of many homes. Like many families, we are composed of several generations, living and growing under the same roof. We have family gatherings, celebrate holidays, share stories, mourn losses, teach, mentor, and learn together. It is our desire to develop a family of Christ-followers under our roof no matter the age or gender, through our diverse set of ministries.

We are born into God’s family by placing our complete faith and trust in Jesus. After that, EGBC is committed to lifelong learning and growth. The textbook for our growth is the Bible. The goal is life-transformation. In other words, we put into practice what we learn, and don’t just accumulate knowledge.

We develop our family of Christ-followers through Bible teaching classes, small group connections, conferences and seminars, and equipping ministry leaders with resources and professional development to apply Biblical principles to manage contemporary issues.

Bible Discovery Zone: Discovering the Truth in God’s Word!

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” -- Psalm 119:105

The Bible is a light that helps us find the way in this dark world. God’s Word keeps us from stumbling and helps us along the path of life. It is the inspired, written Word that becomes alive in our hearts. It is the ultimate Truth that can never be changed and will never end! We desire to help children learn more of what the Bible is all about.

Mission

EGBC strives to equip children through Biblically-sound teaching with experiences that introduce, nurture and sustain active, growing faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We pursue this mission by providing sound, age-appropriate programs and safe, physical and emotional environments.

Children’s Ministries are designed for total family involvement. Parents are encouraged to communicate with the Children’s Ministries team throughout the various programs of children’s development — Nursery, Junior Church, Bible Classes, and AWANA.

These elements, and others, provide the base of a desire for a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ.

Adults 18-years and under who interact with children in our ministry must complete an application, and agree to follow the EGBC Child Protection Policy, which may include a criminal background check.

Check out our weekly groups plus our special events and trips!

EGBC’s junior high and high school youth groups are designed to strengthen students’ spiritual development.

  • So their belief and faith in Jesus is based on their own understanding
  • So they develop stronger connections between that Bible and practical daily life
  • So they use the Scriptures as the basis of making choices
  • So they use their gifts within the church
  • So they learn servanthood by participating in community service projects

Men

"A discerning man keeps wisdom in view." -- Proverbs 17:27

The Men's Ministry exists to increase spiritual growth of and to provide opportunities for fellowship of males of all ages. Ministry programs and Bible studies are designed to encourage open discussion and accountability. Athletic events and community service projects place EGBC men in the position of building relationships and influencing those not yet in the family of Christ.

Women

“Let us not give up meeting together...but let us encourage one another.” -- Hebrews 10:25

The Women's Ministry is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to help them handle life’s situations in a Biblical manner. Our desire is to empower, uplift, and encourage each woman during each stage of her faith journey.

Parenting Support

Leading families in the 21st century has a unique set of challenges that did not exist even a decade ago. Still, centuries-old Biblical values apply to combatting current issues. New parents and parents with school-aged children build camaraderie as they discover hands-on techniques and attitude-changing approaches to child-rearing in a series of small group conversations and workshops with EGBC staff or guest presenters.
