From its inception, EGBC’s constitution has outline that Elk Grove Baptist is dedicated to supporting missions outreach across the globe. This international perspective is reflected in our congregation. Our membership includes original residents of seven nations, plus the U.S. Several church members are former missionaries. Of the 15 missionaries we support, four families embraced a missions career while attending EGBC.

In addition to supporting missionaries, we believe in continuing missions education. Our AWANA children’s club hosts an annual missions night where students meet visiting missionaries. At least four Sundays a year, a guest missionary presents a Sunday sermon, about the specific mission work, or relating their work to the current sermon series.

Continuing education includes hands-on serving projects with local missionaries by teens and adults. Serving projects may be at an agency such as Inner-City Impact (Chicago) or Feed My Starving Children (Schaumburg), or generated to take the gospel to the streets though Backpacks for the Homeless or Serving the Village Days.

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?” -- James 2:14

We believe God has placed our church at 801 Beisner Road not only to house weekly worship of Him, but also as a complex to address the needs of our neighbors – by performing service project in the community, or by hosting meetings or events for the community. Although these agencies are not affiliated with EGBC ministry directly, we share values and consider them partners in outreach.
